Silk Road Destinations was founded in Samarkand in 2001 by tourism professionals who had already spent years on these roads. Since then we have helped travellers from around the world discover the region's oldest monuments and understand the culture behind them. We are a Samarkand company: our managers and guides were born here, and they work in English, Russian, French, German, Italian, Spanish and Chinese. We run cultural and historical routes, architectural and gastronomic trips, family holidays, pilgrimages and eco-tours — as tailor-made private journeys, or as small group departures we guarantee will run.
Our mission is to support and promote sustainability in tourism and in society at large, where everyone can realise their potential through environmental, social and economic initiatives. Our values are honesty, transparency and mutual understanding — that is what lets us build trust with partners, clients and suppliers. We are a member of Travelife and work step by step towards its international sustainability standards, with an emphasis on cultural exchange and support for the communities that host you.
