Eight days built around what children actually enjoy: cable cars, camels, fortresses and a desert crossing.
desde $870por pessoa
The same great cities, paced for a family. A day in the Chimgan mountains with a cable car ride, a domestic flight to Khiva, a camel at the Ichan-Kala gate, and the drive across the red sands of the Kyzylkum to Bukhara.
Monuments are kept to what will hold attention, and there is time to sit still.
Who it suits: parents who want the Silk Road without a mutiny by day three.
Airport transfer and a gentle first look at the city: the Khast-i-Imam complex and Chorsu bazaar.
A drive up through villages and orchards to the Chimgan mountains, and a long cable car ride above the valley.
We have run it from four upwards. Under six, we shorten the monument days and add a swimming pool.
About six hours with stops. The car is private, so we break it wherever you like.

Morning flight to Urgench and transfer to Khiva, where the whole walled town is the museum.
The desert crossing: red sand, flocks of karakul sheep, a lunch stop on the way, and Bukhara by evening.
Poi Kalon, the Ark fortress and the trading domes — with time in the bazaar, which children tend to like more than the mosques.
Chor Minor and the summer palace on the edge of town, then the train to Samarkand.
Registan, Gur-e-Amir and Bibi-Khanym, with an afternoon at Siab bazaar for bread and dried fruit.
Train to Tashkent and transfer to the airport.
